Everything below is within about twenty minutes of the front door. Take it in this order and you finish facing the sunset.
Morning - the sand
Cross Marine Parade and turn left. At low tide the beach runs for miles and you can walk south almost to Uphill on firm sand. At high tide, walk the promenade instead and look at the Victorian frontages, which are the best thing the town has.
Late morning - the pier
Nine minutes on foot. The walk out over the water is free, and the view back at the town is the picture everybody takes. The pavilion at the end is the arcade, a two-level go-kart track, a laser maze and three floors of soft play, and it is genuinely good on a wet day.
Lunch
The seafront does chips well. If you want a proper sit down, The Old Thatched Cottage and Il Michelangelo are both about five minutes from us, and Revo Kitchen is six.
Afternoon - up the hill
Grove Park is six minutes behind the seafront, steep, Victorian, and cut into the hillside. Follow the top path for the view over the roofs. Come down the other side into town and the museum is about eleven minutes away - free, small, and much better than it needs to be. It is closed Sundays and Mondays.
Late afternoon - the street art
The walls behind the high street have been given over to some very large pieces of painting. There is no route and no map worth following; wander, and take the wrong turning on purpose.
Evening
Back to the front for the sunset. Weston faces west across the Channel to Wales, so on a clear evening the whole bay goes orange and the pier turns into a silhouette. If you are in Studio Two or Apartment Four you can watch it from the balcony instead.
